The paintings on these pages are made with encaustic and other painting and drawing materials, such as powdered graphite, ink, and paper. Encaustic is an ancient painting medium, made of beeswax and damar resin crystals, that is being explored and repurposed by many contemporary artists. It offers a distinct luminosity, semi-gloss surface, and sense of depth that is unique to the medium, and well as longevity and durability if handled correctly. All of my paintings are on deep cradled panels. Please email me if you have any questions.
