In February, 2015, I began walking the periphery of the San Francisco Bay on foot. As I walk, I take photographs of the bay and the shoreline, and post these photos online. The act of walking itself serves as a physical tracing, or drawing, of the bay. This series of walks and photographs are the basis for paintings and drawings; I am calling this creative cycle The Periphery Project. My goal is to walk the outline of the bay by the end of 2016 and show the resulting works of art in the bay area.
