The Periphery Project

In February, 2015, I began walking the periphery of the San Francisco Bay on foot. As I walk, I take photographs of the bay and the shoreline, and post these photos online. The act of walking itself serves as a physical tracing, or drawing, of the bay. This series of walks and photographs are the basis for paintings and drawings; I am calling this creative cycle The Periphery Project.

You can follow my progress on Instagram.

See the artworks I am producing from these walks under the “Encaustic Paintings” and “Works on Paper” tabs above.
